Join Sammy Rubin, founder and CEO of yulife, on a walk and deep heart-to-heart on the South Bank with mental health activist and author, Chris Young.
After 17 years as a social worker, Chris found himself tackling some mental health issues of his own. Firstly diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and later with Borderline Personality Disorder and dissociation, Chris had to leave his job and decided to go on a walk along the coast of the UK to raise mental health awareness.
Chris and Sammy discuss the importance of being open about mental health, changing people’s perception from combating mental health to dealing with it, and how people can surprise you with their goodness and generosity. They also chat about walking as an aid to mental health awareness, and how managers can help their employees with their mental health.
